What's the founders offer, exactly?
The first 100 units ("doors") enrolled into RentOS Pro lock in a lifetime 50% discount on both the per-unit subscription and the platform fee. On a founder door you pay $2.50/unit/month (instead of $5) and 0.25% per rent transaction capped at $2.50 (instead of 0.5% capped at $5). Stripe's bank-transfer fee still applies. The discount is tied to the unit, lasts for the life of that unit on RentOS Pro, and survives a cancel-and-return as long as it's the same unit.
Does RentOS Pro hold rent money?
Never. Funds flow tenant → Stripe → your connected Stripe account, on Stripe's standard payout schedule (typically T+2 free, or instant for 1%). We are software, not a custodian, and not a money transmitter. This is genuinely different from rent platforms that custody funds via a third-party banking partner — your money never sits on our balance sheet, ever.
What about a card payment?
Card payments are 2.9% + 30¢, passed through to the tenant by default (the tenant pays rent + the card surcharge). Pro-plan landlords can opt to absorb the card fee instead. Bank-transfer ACH is always $0 to the tenant — that's the wedge.
How fast can I switch from another platform?
Most landlords are live and accepting their next rent payment in under 30 minutes: connect Stripe (5 min), import properties + tenants (10 min), send invite links. There's no contract, no setup fee, and no minimum term. Your tenants will probably notice the difference on their first payment.
I have 25+ units. Does the per-unit math still work?
Yes — Pro caps at $99/month total no matter how many units you have. So 25 units, 50 units, 80 units → all $99/mo subscription plus the 0.5% platform fee on each rent. (At 50+ units, the Growth plan unlocks bulk import, multi-user roles, and SSO — talk to us about pricing for those.)
How do I get paid?
Stripe deposits to your bank on its standard schedule — typically T+2. Need it same-day? Toggle Instant Payout for a 1% fee (minimum $0.50). Standard payouts are free.
Is this accounting software?
RentOS Pro keeps a per-lease ledger that reconciles to Stripe to the cent and exports QuickBooks-friendly CSV. It is not a general-ledger accounting system and does not replace QuickBooks, Xero, or your accountant.
